Header

The top of every page: your logo, the menu, search, the cart and the tools trade buyers use (quick order, find a branch, contact and support). It is the panel with the most settings, so it is grouped in the order a visitor reads the header: Appearance, Navigation, Top strip, Main bar, Category row. The logo has its own item under the section, Logo.

In the theme editor, Add section › Header. Only in the header area.

Color scheme Always
When the page scrolls Scrolls away with the page · Stays at the top · Stays at the top and shrinks Always Shrinking hides the top strip and shortens the main bar as the page scrolls.
Transparent over hero On · Off Always The header floats over the home page's first section, which needs room at the top.
Text color over hero Light (dark hero) · Dark (light hero) Transparent over hero is on
Bordered tool buttons On · Off Always Outlines the search, cart and other icon buttons. Off shows plain icons.

Navigation

Setting Choices Shows when What it does
Main menu Always The row of navigation links. A link with sub-links opens a dropdown. Edit menus in Online Store › Navigation.
Main menu position Top strip · Main bar · Main bar, centered Always Where the main menu sits. Without the top strip, it moves to the main bar.
Deals link Always Shown in the accent color at the end of the menu. Leave empty to hide it.
Deals link title Deals link is filled in The text of the accent link. A main menu item with the same title is also shown in the accent color.
Show All products button On · Off Always Opens the catalog menu. On phones the same menu opens from the menu icon.
All products button text Show All products button is on
All products menu Show All products button is on Empty uses the main menu. Pick a menu of collections if the main menu holds pages. Learn more
All products layout List, one level at a time · Columns, everything at once Show All products button is on Columns shows every category with its sub-categories at once. Phones always show the list.

Top strip

Main bar
