Filters

The filters beside a collection or search come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app, not from the theme. A new store has only Availability and Price.

Add filters

1. In Shopify admin, open Apps › Search & Discovery (install it from the Shopify App Store if needed).
2. Open Filters › Add filter, pick a source (product type, vendor, a variant option such as Size, or a metafield), and rename its label to what a buyer would say.
3. Save. The filter appears on every collection whose products have that data.

In the theme

In the Collection section, Filter layout chooses a sidebar (filters always in view) or a drawer (products full width). Filters that would not narrow the current collection are hidden.
